BibTheo.com began in 2008 as a supplemental handout to my Hermeneutics course. The handout was a list of reference material, online and in print, that would be useful to my students in the field of Biblical and Theological studies. As the handout continued to grow it it became clear that the best way to update and disseminate the list would be as a website rather than a paper handout. The first website created for this purpose was BibleWoot.com (2009). That site reflected the mores of early web design and content, but once the mobile internet became the majority method of student engagement I paused the maintenance of BibleWoot and focused on creating and maintaining BibTheo.com (2015). The goal of BibTheo.com is to continue to focus on identifying online and in-print resource that are useful for anyone working in the field of Biblical and Theological studies.
